Our Story
Rack It Back Armory (RIBA) was founded in June 2019 by Marine Corps veterans Sheridan Halfacre and Thomas Doyle. Built on a shared passion for firearms and craftsmanship, the business began with the realization that the gunsmithing market needed more transparency, reliability, and timely service.
Starting from a small Army communications repair trailer, we dedicated ourselves to learning, innovating, and providing exceptional work. As demand grew, we expanded into our current downtown Mebane, NC storefront in October 2022. Today, we continue to combine hands-on experience with cutting-edge tools to provide precision gunsmithing services for our community.

Sheridan Halfacre served as an 0331 Infantry Machinegunner in the Marine Corps, where he developed a passion for understanding the mechanics of firearms.

Thomas Doyle served as a 7242 Air Support Operations Operator, coordinating airstrikes and support for ground forces. After leaving the Marine Corps, both founders attended gunsmithing school, where they combined their skills and vision.
Together, they lead Rack It Back Armory with the mission of creating innovative firearms, dependable repairs, and trustworthy service for firearm owners across North Carolina.
